Terms & Conditions

General terms

By purchasing a ticket by telephone, at the Ticket Desk, via the website, or via an agency, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions of sale.

  • All tickets are sold by Thinktank Trust, Registered Charity Number 1061898 at Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham B4 7XG on behalf of the trust and IMAX Cinema.
  • All tickets are subject to availability.  
  • Please check your tickets carefully as mistakes cannot always be rectified after the event.
  • Tickets are valid on ticket date only, and can be sent via post (three postal days required and a booking fee of £1.50 will be charged) or collected at the Thinktank Ticket Desk on Level 2.
    Tickets are not transferable and non-refundable
  • All discounts are offered subject to availability.  Discounts cannot be combined with other offers, and can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Tesco vouchers cannot be used for the purchase of season tickets or IMAX Cinema tickets
  • Tickets pre-booked using vouchers require the vouchers to be produced on arrival, failing which the tickets will be charged at full price
  • Tickets pre-booked for IMAX using vouchers are only held on reserve and shall be released for sale 30 minutes prior to the screening time
  • We reserve the right to make alterations to the advertised programme or schedule without obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets.
  • Any visitor who holds an invalid ticket will be refused entry or asked to leave Thinktank, the Planetarium or IMAX.
  • Defaced or altered tickets are invalid.
  • Tickets may not be re-sold for profit or commercial gain. Such tickets become invalid.
  • Tickets booked 3 or more working days before your arrival date can be posted out 1st class. If you have opted for this but they do not arrive in time, please quote your booking reference number on arrival.
  • Tickets are sold subject to the Data Protection Act 1998.
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission where we believe other visitors comfort, enjoyment or security may be affected.
  • IMAX gift vouchers can only be used at IMAX Birmingham.
  • IMAX note:- It is not recomended that babies or young children be brought into the auditorium, however, discretion should be used if a child becomes upset or causes disruption during a screening.
